The National Organization
The National Organization is governed by the law of the 1st of July 1901 and the decree of the 16th of August 1901. It is called:
Bureau National de Liaison "PROBUS" in short " BNL"
The aim is to:
* Increase and assist the foundation of new Probus Clubs according to the principles stated by the founder of Probus Clubs in France, Vincent CAMPION.
* The preservation and the development of the friendship between the members who have a common interest in a variety of subjects as Culture, Science, Entertainment, etcÉ
* Co-ordinate and exchange information between Probus Clubs in France and abroad.
* Watch over the legal rights of the name:
" PROBUS - FRANCE "
and of the internet domain:
<probus-france.org>
The fundamental principles which govern the association are stated by the:
"Charte PROBUS"
The office of the association is at:
23 Avenue Winston Churchill – 59420 Mouvaux.
The association is managed by a council of at least 4 members, elected at the Annual General Assembly by a delegate from each French Club each of whom has one vote.
After the vote, the council nominates from its members:
a President, a vice-President, a secretary and a treasurer.
The council can be re-elected partially or totally each year.
The council must meet at least once every 6 months.
Decisions are taken by a majority vote or, in the case of a tied vote, by the casting vote of the President.
The General Assembly consisting of the council and delegates from the Clubs meets at the end of the year.
